The St. John of the Cross Catholic Worker House assists:

• People in need of food
• People in need of shelter
• People in need of a better tomorrow

Through our prayers, resources, and compassion we seek to improve the lives of those less fortunate in our community. We carry out the Corporate Works of Mercy through the generosity of many individuals, churches, corporations, school groups and other organizations. It’s through community support and donations that we were able to serve 222 residents in 2019 alone.

Learn more about our history, our staff and board members, our supporters, and read some of our success stories. We serve married couples, single women, and single mothers for between 30-90 days. While our clients are with us, we spend time identifying any potential barriers and setting goals for the future. Our clients stayed an average of 17.25 days in 2017 before moving on to either permanent housing, transitional housing, or going back to the streets – which for some, feels like their only option.
