Nikki: A Love for Life – and Cooking

Two years ago Nikki picked up and moved to Iowa from Wisconsin. Battling a drug addiction and learning to manage mental illness, she found herself guest at Catholic Worker House twice, and the second time she turned the corner. Nikki has now celebrated 30 days clean and just moved into the Catherine McCauley transitional living.

Nikki is creative to the core. She’s wonderful at art, loves to play the drums, and is an outstanding cook. She even has dreams of managing her own YouTube cooking channel one day! She sets goals and meets them daily, attends all her appointments, and is truly taking responsibility for her own success. She’s learning to hold herself accountable and love life again and it’s been a joy watching her blossom into a strong, successful woman.
